Weather Policy For Outdoor Bouncy Castle And Soft Play Hire's

When Bounce & Party accept your booking we do so in good faith and will make every effort to deliver and setup your hired equipment on time as per your booking agreement, however all outdoor bouncy castle and soft play hires are weather dependant as per our booking terms and conditions that you agree to when booking.

Safety is always our number 1 priority and should the weather conditions on the day of your hire be or be forecast by the MET office to be unsafe or unsuitable we will be unable to setup your hired equipment for safety reasons. Bounce & Party reserve the right to cancel or refuse setup of hired equipment for any reason.

Strong Wind / Gusts

The legal maximum safe wind speed for setting up and using a bouncy castle outdoors is 24mph as stated by the Health and Safety Executive. Using a bouncy castle in wind or gust speeds that exceed 24mph is extremely dangerous and could lead to serious injury or death For these reasons Bounce & Party will not set up if the Met Office is predicting winds or gusts above 24mph.

Heavy Rain

Bouncy castles and soft play become extremely slippery when wet. Although most of our standard bouncy castles have covers / roofs, these are mainly for sun protection and light rain showers. In heavy rain and downpours, rain water will get inside the castle, mainly at the front and rear of the bouncy castle.

If your booking looks like it will be affected either by wind or rain, we will initially contact you 48 hours before your hire date to advise of the weather forecast. If the forecast does not change the night before your booking we will telephone you to discuss your booking.

Proposed solutions may include:

A delayed delivery and setup time
Moving your booking to an alternative date, subject to our availability
Moving your booking to an indoor location, this will be subject to our availability

If no suitable alternative solution can be agreed on we will cancel your booking and at our discretion issue a credit note for your non-refundable booking fee payment.

Bounce & Party never want to cancel a booking but any decision we take will always be on the grounds of safety of users and our equipment.
